What is the feeling of job security at Synopsys?

Good work culture, layoffs are very low

Low salary, promotion cycles are longer

Good Work life balance and good job security

Lots of reorgs. Lots of Legacy projects

Great colleagues to work with, multinational environment

There is uncertainty and layoffs due to the acquisition of Ansys

Good pay and benefits while they last

They keep outsourcing jobs and there are a lot of layoffs

Very large teams and food in cafeteria is good

layoffs happen every quarter hence there is a lot of politics

Good pay with copeting market

Startup culture no job security

If you are interviewing for this company RUN! I came on board through the Ansys acquisition and Synopsys has continuously ruined every good thing that existed at Ansys. Senior leadership has horrific communication skills, they have no long term vision, and they consistently say one thing and do another. All of this on top of layoffs, creates the most miserable work environment full if uncertainty and anxiety.

Pay is not like a typical Tech company. Pay is on conservative side. Was an employee of Ansys before acquisition. Job was stable that was the upside. Also, Ansys gave opportunity for Mechanical Engineers like me to work as a developer without having a strong CS background.

The future at Synopsys after acquisition looks shaky. There is no job security anymore.
