Does Yorkshire Building Society have a pension plan?

Pros

Good hours, good pension and uniform.

Cons

No teamwork , everyone seems to compete with each other. Too much favouritism in the area. Very repetitive work and little recognition as an individual. Work mostly under staffed with no support.

Advice to Management

Be fair and consistent. Motivate those who potentially offer you more.

Great staff, great values and culture. Nice old school clients.

Cons

Bad management, no career progression, lots of branches closing. Very out dated work flows.

Ruthless culture in recent years of hiring and firing In danger of letting too many experienced staff go

Be mindful of not making senior staff redundant too abruptly

What is the feeling of job security at Yorkshire Building Society?

Pros

Good package and flexible working. Nice people respectful of day to day needs.

Cons

Job security due to office and staff rationalisation. Constantly reorganising departments to meet medium term plans, which adversely impacts staff confidence.

Advice to Management

Job security is lacking, your company has grown in size at the detriment of staff who work best when their efforts are fully appreciated. The overall impression is no one is indispensable, even those with great productivity, wide experience and a positive attitude.

How are senior leaders perceived at Yorkshire Building Society?

Pros

3 nights a week nightshift

Cons

Team leaders are on power trips and have no idea how difficult your job is Everyone elses job in thr building is easier than yours (its universally known) and yet you have the biggest work load, the most pressure and least pay They constantly change the processes and you get failed for things even if they have no detriment to the customer.

Advice to Management

Don't hire managers who speak to adults like children
