I got the job by responding to a LinkedIn post of a VP in the company. I contacted a friend that works at AECOM and he referred me through the internal career site. I wasn't able to crack the external career site and get an interview through that. the hiring process is very archaic and inefficient.

I was asked a few technical questions - for example what are the 3 methods to design a duct (in HVAC system).

Interview
Meeting with the Mechanical Lead Designer who described the type of work there in the office. After meeting with the Designers I was introduced to the Office Management. I was treated to lunch. After the interview I was called the next day to negotiate my salary.
