I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ASDA (Birmingham, England) in May 2015
Interview
Easy, about yourself with a manager.
applied online, invited for an assessment event, followed by a one to one interview couple days after.
assessment centre involved, activity within the store, playing a exercise; building up the tallest tower with marshmallows and spaghetti with anout 6 or 7 managers oobserving
they look for who is the most active, so make sure you speak a lot and encourage others to join in.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
have you worked as part of the team, bare in mind having no work experience before
It seemed quite formal and clinical. Wasn't a great setting. There were a group of us on a room and was quite awkward. There was a small assessment centre and questions afterwards.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ASDA (Ipswich, England)
Interview
We were asked to tell the managers about our reason to apply to Asda, and then we were assigned get to know each others to find out about a few facts about other applications.
Next, we were put in a group of 3 and were asked to deliver a short presentation about the product that we picked.
The process was pretty easy, short and fun. I didn't really dress up to impress and answered all of the questions honestly rather than treating it like a formal interview. Some people can be harder to work with as they are too focused on making themselves looks good rather than working as a team.
Show them that you will work well with others, creative and have a positive personality to bring.
I applied online. I interviewed at ASDA (Minworth, England) in Jan 2018
Interview
You have to attend this stupid group assessment where you're watched by four or five staff including management and older colleagues to see if you fit into the ASDA culture. Made to do silly things to show that you are good with people. A bit laughable and somewhat humiliating as we aren't monkeys.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked what I'd bring with me if I was on a deserted island, and if I ever went snow skiing.
