I applied online. The process took 10+ months. I interviewed at Aaron, Bell International (Denver, CO) in May 2018
Interview
The "interviewing process" at this company was the worst and most unprofessional I have ever endured. I have been a highly successful new business development director for 15 years. I applied on-line on May 8th for a new business development position and was contacted by phone the same day for an hour-long interview with a female administrative representative at the company. She said I'd be contacted "in a couple of days" to arrange an in-person interview. I was not contacted. So I phoned a week later and set up an in-person interview for May 18th. I met with the president, the vice president and the aforementioned female representative in an uncomfortably sweltering conference room with non-working air conditioning. The president was 15 minutes late for the "interview”, offered no apology, and barely greeted me. He was contentious and impolite. It was to have been an hour interview but it suddenly ended after 25 minutes because the VP “had another meeting.” I was told I would be contacted on Tuesday May 29th after the VP returned from a trip, for "the next step" – presumably to talk about compensation. I had not been asked for professional references so I proactively called the following week, spoke with the female representative and offered references. She said she’d ask the VP if he wanted them but yet again she never got back to me. She said - a second time - that I would be contacted by her on May 29th. I was not contacted on May 29th, so I phoned her three days later on June 1st to ask what happened. She said, "I thought the VP had called you. I'll go ask him what happened." Instead, she put me on hold for 5 minutes and – astoundingly - blind transferred my call to the VP. He had no idea I was on the line. He told me, "we've gone in another direction". I told him I was astounded they had wasted my time and strung me along for over two weeks. I called back to let the female representative know I was not happy with the grossly unprofessional handling to which I had been subjected every step of the way. I told her "Glassdoor.com" serves a valuable purpose and I intended to let others know about their appalling level of unprofessionalism. She actually sneered, "You do that!" derisively. My advice: Stay away from this company unless you are a masochist.

Question 1
The president asked me two questions, one of which was "where do you live?"
The interview was short and to the point with one of the Vice Presidents. No tricks or leading questions. The company followed up with me two days later and offered me the position.
