Technical interview and 3 rounds of call / meeting team members over the span of a week. Overall very profesionnal, human and engaging conversations. I would rate the interview process as lengthy but enjoyable!
The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at AbCellera (Vancouver, BC) in Mar 2021
Interview
AbCellera’s interview process is a two month long time wasting exercise.
The first interview is brief asking you if you are interested in working for the company and so on; second is a technical interview; the third interview is the standard “fit interview” format.
The technical interview is a lot of Q&A with few coding questions rushed at the end. The 3-4 questions are scribbled in a word document through screen sharing and overall the interview fails to cover the requested skills in the job application that you took the time to prepare to answer.
The fit interview is overly long with the hiring manager and COO and unsophisticated in nature asking all the usual questions such as what are you weaknesses, etc.
If you don’t get the job, it is their company policy not to provide ANY feedback. Neither you nor the outside recruiter have any clue how you came up short leaving you wondering how you could improve ahead of your next interview or even to improve yourself in order to apply to AbCellera in future.
AbCellera is clearly a young inexperienced company riding high on their recent IPO. They have a long way to go to treat candidates professionally and to be considered a top company in future.

Question 1
Have you ever had a conflict with another employee?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at AbCellera (Vancouver, BC) in Mar 2020
Interview
The first stage was a 30 minute interview to chat about past experiences and to get to know you. We chatted about my projects and they were very nice. I did not make it past the first stage, so I can't comment on the further stages.
