Contacted me through text. I came in for an orientation session, then had a one on one interview.
It was shady. I felt uncomfortable. They asked me on a questionnaire at the orientation how many business owners I knew. I also filled out the questionnaire very poorly. I thought it was funny that they contacted me via text for a follow up interview. I suspect they had a fake interviewee there to sway the other candidates into accepting the role of being a sales rep. After the orientation was over, the suspected fake candidate came out and had awkward small talk with us about the orientation. He asked us how we felt about it and if we were gonna do it. He also talked a lot during the orientation session and was there extremely early. After the other candidates left, I stayed behind for a bit in my car and saw that he awkwardly was waiting for me to leave, but after a while he walked back into the office. All communication with Aflac was through text. The rep who was texting me had horrible grammar and spelling. He was also out of town during my interview and sent me to the wrong place. Very unprofessional. The woman who interviewed me tried to make it seem like Aflac was a non-profit organization and kept bringing up my race and gender through her "stories" of her black insurance sales mentee and the old white ladies in the country. I guess she was trying to connect with me in some way because she was an older white woman. She made me uncomfortable and was a bit thirsty. She mentioned that the rep that was texting me really liked me. Weird people.
