I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Airtime in Oct 2025
Interview
Starting with a screening call - Tell me about yourself and a bit about your experience. Which is your favourite product and why? What new feature do you think you'd add to airtime? (keep the answers short and not too technical as its only a screening round)
For tech round - What have you done in your previous role, How would you collaborate with Design, development teams, What would you do if a feature you rolled out did not perform well, how do you collect and analyse data to make decisions.
Last is the presentation round where they usually give you a task for eg: suggest features to improve user engagement.

The first call was with recruitment, then an additional two interviews with the lead PM, the second of which involves presenting a task. All interviews were remote as the team is split between Manchester and London.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Airtime (Manchester, England) in Aug 2025
Interview
I had a first stage interview remotely which was focused around competency based questions then a second stage face to face in Manchester which was focused on how I would react in certain scenarios.
I felt that both interviews went very well and I felt confident about getting the job.
I received an email today saying that they were really impressed with my experience and skills but decided to move forward with another candidate who was a closer fit for the specific team dynamic. I'm left baffled and confused as to what that means, it's so vague. I emailed to ask for more information but I feel as if I know they won't give me the real reason which is honestly disgusting behaviour considering how much prep I did for this role. How does one improve on "team dynamic"? You can't.
Fast forward almost a week later and I have still received no response. It's funny because they were very responsive during the process when they potentially wanted to hire me but when they decided they didn't, I get nothing but radio silence.
