      Sales Interview

      10 May 2010
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Pittsburgh, PA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Alcon (Pittsburgh, PA) in Nov 2009

      Interview

the process was drawn out...like always! I was contacted by a recruiter then invited to a live interview. He was very interested in sales documentation. I spent a lot of time compiling a brag book and it was still not enough. I was invited back for a second interview but had to compile a second brag book!

      Interview

A couple of interviews, nice people. They asked good questions about my experience and about the job role. Interviews were scheduled quickly and lasted 30 minutes. Nothing unsurprising about the discussions.

      Interview

      Sales Interview

      16 Jul 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Alcon in May 2012

      Interview

The process is a little extensive. 2 face to face interviews, 2 online quizzes, and a phone interview with the regional manager. Everything was going well until you get to the regional manager, who was completely disrespectful and self righteous. First, they had me call him. He didn't answer his phone and didn't call me back for 20 minutes. He didn't even feel bad about it either. Then his phone connection was bad and I couldn't hear him, so he had me call him again. He spent the whole hour going over my college experience and career path. I am not sure why you would harp on a bachelor's degree when someone has their Masters. The best part is after all of that, it was between me and other person, and they didn't even have the decency to call me back. Completely rude. The way you treat your candidate is a good example of how you will treat your employees!
