This was easily the most disorganized, thoroughly frustrating recruitment process I have ever experienced. First, I did a phone interview which well enough, the recruiter relayed, to advance me to an in-person interview with a management panel. I was explicitly told that there would be a managerial interview scheduled. Nearly three weeks passed, before I received an auto generated e-mail stating that AllState appreciates me taking the time to "interview in person." I immediately e-mailed the recruiter filling in for the recruiter I initially spoke to, who was on PTO from literally December 20-January 7, and advised that I had not had an in person interview and that I must have been mistaken with someone else. I received a contrived apology e-mail conveying that it should have said "phone interview." At this point, I was still under consideration at Allstate. I received another auto generated e-mail informing me that I'm still under consideration, and then at like 8PM CT a few days later, I receive an e-mail stating that I had not been chosen for the role. The deception through the process, the lack of communication, and the total disorganization, definitely tells me that AllState did me a favor by no longer considering me. Due to this, and the the fact that the insurance industry is moving to replace human beings with artificial intelligence, I have exited the industry entirely after several years in it.
