      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Allstate (Charlotte, NC)

      Interview

I applied online. Was contacted by a Talent Acquisition specialist who scheduled a 15 minute phone interview consisting of a few questions of how I've handled previous difficult customers or how I've helped a customer before. Once the 15 minute phone interview is over the company emails you an online assessment consisting of various questions and scenarios to help see if you qualify for the position you are applying. The entire online assessment is multiple choice. I passed the online assessment and was emailed afterwards to schedule an in person interview. In person interview consists of two managers from the department you are applying for taking turns asking you questions about previous jobs, how you may have handled handled difficult customers in the past, your most difficult situation, what you've done in the past to better yourself if you've ever made a mistake, how you have contributed to a team environment, what's the best accomplishment you've ever achieved, and in the end they give you a chance to ask any questions you might have about the company. You will know/have a good feeling if you are offered the position or not at the completion of the in person interview based on the interviewers/closing actions they take and what you may or may not partake in. Basically the interviewers want to see that you are professional, providing and exceeding each and every customer's expectations that you interact with, and that you're looking for a career for the long run not a couple month job.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

None difficult as long as you have previous scenarios that answer the questions they are asking. Most questions are based on previous experiences you may have had in life or with customers at a previous or current job.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Allstate in Mar 2022

      Interview

Received an email to do a prescreen phone interview, I responsed almost immediately that I was pretty much available anytime, sent a second email to them a week later since I did not receive a response, another week went by and I received an email that my initial email had gone to their Spam, scheduled the phone interview for the next day which was about a 10 minute interview and then they contacted me again by email and did a 20 minute interview via Zoom the next week. Received an email 2 days later that other candidates had more experience in the particular department I applied for. Everyone I came into contact with was very nice

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Allstate (Portland, OR) in Apr 2020

      Interview

I applied to this position on 3/10, completed a phone screening with a recruiter on 3/26 (I was asked one behavioral question about multitasking.), and then had a video interview with the hiring manager and the field lead on 4/02. The video interview was in place of the typical in-person one due to COVID-19 precautions. The interview had three parts: the managers welcomed me and gave me a chance to feel comfortable. They asked simple questions told me about the position. Then follows the trickier behavioral questions, and finally you can ask some questions and they'll go over Allstate as a company and the company benefits. A note on the behavioral questions: I once read that interviews are "like a Taco Bell menu," they typically have all the same ingredients, just put together differently. Interview ingredients (besides "tell me about yourself" and "why us?") are examples of: working with others, leadership, conflict resolution, problem-solving/adaptability, organization, failure/weakness, and success/strength. You will probably waste a lot of time on Glassdoor/Indeed if your plan is to find all the possible questions that might be asked during your interview. Spending time familiarizing yourself with your responses to these "ingredients" might be much more beneficial both to your interview at Allstate and any other interviews you may have. :-) During the week following the interview, I received a call from the recruiter with feedback on my interview and an unfortunate message that although I was strongly considered, the position was being cancelled due to everything that is going on in the world today. The recruiter, hiring manager, and field lead were all welcoming and informative about the position. They all seemed like wonderful people to work with and made my application process as positive as possible. I especially appreciated how the recruiter called, even though he couldn't offer me the job, just to give me feedback and to let me know where I stood. I will certainly be looking out for more positions at Allstate in my area.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Allstate

      Interview

Applied online. Recieved an email to have a phone interview which was automated asking behavioral questions as well as normal questions regarding the position. Next day recieved another email to schedule an in person interview . In person interview was with 2 people about 40 minutes. Normal questions about the position and behavioral questions. Then they had me sit in on a couple of calls with a claims service specialist. Afterward was asked about the experience and sent on my way. Next day recieved an email to complete part 2 of the application which just included entering in my SSN. I assumed for a background check, which I am completely clean on, no issues whatsoever. But after that my application on the website said "Declined" I have not recieved an email stating I didnt get hired or anything of the sort. Just very confused as to why they would request my SSN if they were just going to "Decline" my application.
