Please read entire paragraph. I applied online. Was asked to complete a prescreen questionnaire. It consisted of the usual Why are you interested in this role, what makes you the best, etc. Moved on to the next stage which was a phone interview with the hiring manager. Had a great conversation with him. Only supposed to be 30 minutes but was closer to 1 hour. Moved on to the next step which was an in person interview on site. I was currently still in school out of state waiting for my last semester to end and then graduation. I told them I could fly out to do the interview. Was then told a video interview was "suggested by the managers". *This is when it goes straight down hill*. I gave my available dates but to no response. After those dates passed, I provided more dates for the video interview to no response. I reached out again saying all the dates I gave (over the course of 2 weeks) had passed and now I think it would be best to just do an in person interview when I return after graduation (about a week later), again, to no response. Finally, I followed up to ask if my emails had been received and only got a brief email saying "they'll reach out when they have an update shortly". More weeks go by so I decide to email the hiring manager who I spoke with earlier expaling the situation, and who would have guessed, to no response. A week or so later, I received a "thank you for interviewing but you didn't get the job" email. Luckily for me, I was offered a much better job than this one and was able to take that. I would give the whole situation a 3/10. The early steps were fine and easy. But after that, the total lack of communication was just completely embarrassing. A huge company and they dont have the decency to tell a fresh graduate "No" the first time I ask. Awful.
