      QA Manager Interview

      20 Aug 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amadeus in Jul 2018

      Interview

      Negative experience

      Application

      I interviewed at Amadeus (Bengaluru)

      Interview

I have got a call from a consultancy to attend interview for QA Manager role as my profile was shortlisted after a month it was sent to SR Manager. My first round was a technical discussion with a QA Manager which went initially well on discussing the project and Automation framework and other stuff related to project. But all of a sudden interviewer turned into recruiter role and started to question about very personal questions like don't you join company if it is 40kms from home. Why can't you travel 40 kms if you need job. Why can't you move your house etc--. I was not really expecting this kind of questions during my technical round that too from the interviewer. If they had any issue with my resume on change of jobs they should not have shortlisted my resume. It is just that they called me and they humiliated me. Later I got to know that I am not shortlisted.

      9 Feb 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bengaluru
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amadeus (Bengaluru) in Jan 2018

      Interview

One-word description of the whole process: Absolute Pathetic! I was called in through a consultant. The interview was scheduled at 10.30 AM. I was at their reception exactly at the given time to see couple of more guys waiting in the lounge already. After an hour passed and no one cared to visit us, "we" (including others waiting) had to ask the receptionist to get in touch with HR coordinator. One more hour passed by, and someone comes up and asks who came first? Remember FIFO! The guy sitting in front of me sprung up like a rocket. In goes in to the meeting room, while few more guys join in who are waiting to be interviewed as well. There are around 6 guys waiting and one guy in the room. Few of us who got bored started a conversation among ourselves and called in the HR person through the receptionist few more times. After some time here comes the second interviewer and takes in the 2nd guy. Out comes the first candidate confused and waits silence. He doesn't know what exactly happened and he was asked to wait for the second round. Later realizes that he may have to come next week and leaves for the day! We know what it means. Out comes the 2nd guy and sits in silence, he says he got to wait for the Directorial round! Interviewers disappear, and the wait continues. Meanwhile the candidates start discussing about what exactly is going in there. I wait for my turn and after waiting for whopping 2 hours I get my turn; the interviewer is polite enough to say sorry for the long wait and starts asking about how they can migrate the client project in to their system. Gives in a man hour estimates and asks about test team needs etc. which really were strange. I was asked to wait for next round and told that there will be a directorial round. Meanwhile we all wait in vain in the lounge, people are equally amazed by the strange questions that were being asked and interviewers not even aware about who cleared the first round and who’s waiting for the second. Few candidates who waited for few more hours left, since the Directorial round may not happen the same day as informed by the interviewers. Few others waited with no clear information on whether they are in or out. So, this wait, and frustration went on, and it’s almost end of the day! No ones, around! HR is not reachable on phone as well. Me and remaining couple of candidates still have the hope that the second round, and (the mysterious) directorial round will happen, while I lost all my patience! Motivated by me was another friend (partner in vain) I had just made, we left for the day and trust me, we were never this happier in that whole day. We concluded that they were just trolling us the Corporate Way! Thus, I wasted my whole day and I am still clueless about the mysterious Director and the invisible HR. [* I am eagerly waiting for few other reviews of this amazing interview by others, which I am sure will pop up in a while]
