I was interviews for Bangalore, India location. There were 4 rounds of interview( 1 hour each round). Interviews went really well and I was short listed for the position. At every interview I have put up my salary expectations very clearly. However, The intent to offer made to me was very less compared to my expectations. i tried to negotiate on grounds of my expectations conveyed to the management from the very beginning, however, in the final negotiation I was told that that my expectations are above their grade pay scale and I cannot be offered beyond this . As an Hr person I can understand this but if this was the case I should have never been interviewed. I have dedicatedly invested my time and efforts in clearing all these rounds and it turned out to be a big failure in the end. I had to reject the offer considering it was not financially a fair offer. The company offered approx 2 L less compared to my expectations. I even bought myself down by 1 L but the management did not accepted it. I was discouraged as I was really positive for the opportunity from the very beginning.
I kindly ask the Amadeus management that applicants should be carefully scrutinised at the first go and the pay limit should be clearly conveyed to the candidates so that the time is not wasted and importantly candidate being made hopeful about the opportunity. It was a bad experience altogether.
