Overall, about 60% of the virtual onsite interview time was used for the leadership questions. I used a headset since it was recommended by them. However, one of the interviewers didn't use one and used his laptop's speaker and microphone. He was typing throughout the the whole 1 hour whenever I said something. Since he was using his laptop's microphone, the keystroke sound directly bombarded my ears. I couldn't even hear what I was saying. It was so obnoxious and drove me crazy and extremely tired. That round was totally messed up in that way. It was ridiculous that Amazon interviewers were supposed to take dictation of every single word a candidate speaks. Conversation can't be done that way. Why don't they just use a voice recorder?
