      Route Service Representative Interview

      20 Apr 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Toledo, OH
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Aramark (Toledo, OH) in Apr 2015

      Interview

Let me start by saying two things: 1.) I'm not an overly sensitive person; I am however thoroughly committed to showing respect even when being disrespected. 2.) I provided documented proof via Letter of Recommendation that I frequently excel in a high pressure sales environment with angry customers. The interview was only difficult because they were downright hostile and inappropriate, attempting to figuratively tear me apart, dissecting everything I said for a way to turn it against me. Not too mention totally insulting me, my experience and my resume even though I was largely overqualified. Since this hostility was entirely unprovoked, I suspect this interviewer is either a bitter individual who can't check their personal problems at the door, or they're simply sexist. You had to have been there witnessing this person's attack on me to understand, but anyone would say BOTH are probable. They've scared no one though, in fact I'm already hired for my dream position with another local company with an amazing culture now so this was definitely Aramark's loss not mine, but the fact that someone like that can rise to power tells me that Aramark Uniform Services, at least in Toledo, OH is not a company worth working for no matter how handsomely you pay me, it'd never be enough to endure such abuse. Even if I was somehow in spite of the experience offered the position, I'd refuse ten times over.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

In a very belittling tone while glaring at me: "What makes someone like YOU worth upwards of $20 an hour and benefits better than what the United Auto Workers Union offers?"
