I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Argos (London, England)
Interview
Waited around 10 mins for the interviewer who was a manager from a different store. I was put in the lunch room where I interacted with two workers and asked them about the job. Then was asked couple of questions by interviewer, then did a sales floor observation for 5 Mins, then had to interact with customers asking them if they need help and what are they buying. That bit was scary at first but u get the hang of it. It was about 10 mins. Then a few more questions, and finished. Took about 1 hour, the whole thing.

Question 1
Hardest question for me was : a customer buys a sat nav and doesn't know how to use it. You don't drive and don't know about sat navs. How would u help this customer. (I can't remember whether this was in a shop scenario, for some reason I imagined it to be a random encounter with a customer outside. And I answered with this scenario in mind).
Why Argos?
What makes a good customer assistant?
What do you think is the next big thing in the digital world?
What tech do you use? (Don't say phone! I did, and he laughed and said "obviously, I mean other things"! )
How would you deal with an agitated customer?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Argos
Interview
Interview was rather laid back and seemed more like a conversation with a friend than a formal job interview. Standard interview questions for an entry level job, so not much difficulty there.
I applied online. I interviewed at Argos (Stafford, England) in Jun 2017
Interview
I applied online via Indeed, I went through an online application asking me about what i would do in certain situations. Then I received a phone interview in the next couple of days after applying online. After being asked questions about myself, i got another phone call about an hour later asking me to attend a group interview. I attended the interview which involved me and four other people where we had to team up and do group activities such as design an Argos superhero, find out and talk about another person i was partnered with and try to sell insurance for an electrical product.
