I applied online. I interviewed at Atlassian in May 2021
Interview
This call was a complete was of my time. The interviewer became disengaged and it sounded like they were chatting with somebody on their computer rather than focusing on what I was saying. Then the insult of it all was that they cut off and hung up on me in the end, which helped me to determine that if this is how they treat people during the interview phase then this was clearly a pass on my end for wanting to move forward.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. This is uncommon and we're sorry to hear of this experience. We're grateful for you bringing it to our attention, so we may explore and be sure this doesn't occur again. Wishing you the best of luck in finding your next career play.

It was decent. Open and fair. Transparent in communications and you don't wait long for a response. The lady that interviewed me was really friendly and made me feel at home.

Question 1
What’s motivating you to explore this CSM role at Atlassian at this point in your career?
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Atlassian in Sept 2025
Interview
I had an initial screening with a recruiter. The recruiter was 13 min late to the call and proceeded to only talk to me for about 15 min to stay on track for her next call. After telling me I had all of the experience needed except working in their specific industry, she told me that I was not the right fit. While I can accept that, she did not even give me a chance to discuss learning the industry, which I feel is the easiest part, people industry hop all the time. She then offered for me to reach out to her with any other questions, job openings, etc. I found 2 other openings that I thought I could be a good fit for and provided a bit more background on how I could learn the industry quickly and received 0 response. I even had an Atlassian employee on the email, who also received 0 response. Frustrating and dismissive experience overall.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Atlassian (Rochester, NY) in Sept 2025
Interview
Had initial phone screen with recruiter who moved me to the next round with the hiring manager. The hiring manager posed three very average questions to me and said I nailed the first two, but the last one didn't have enough metrics (metrics that are confidential to my current employer that I was not willing to share). The interview crashed at that point. The day before the interview, I learned a family member was critically ill. I managed to stay strongly focused throughout the interview and not share this information. As the company preaches transparency, I emailed the recruiter the situation, but never even received even a cursory email back. After 1.5 weeks, I receive a generic rejection. Interviews go both ways. Ironically, the hiring manager's answers to my questions were surprisingly weak and unremarkable considering his position, which provided valuable insight.
