1. Chat with a recruiter. They go over your experience and describe the interview process.
2. 1st round was a system design. It is going to be 45 mins. My Interviewer said he wanted to save 15 mins at last for questions. I was asked the same questions as others.
I was very disappointed when I didn't get the job. Usually, you know when you screw up the interview, but I studied hard for this one. I fumbled at few places, but the interviewer was like I'll cut you off If I have an idea of what you're doing and would redirect you in other areas. Anyway, I explained my logic. I asked and clarified all the relevant questions before jumping in. Throughout the process, the interviewer kept saying - "oh, that's a good question." Mind you, I only had 30 mins, and in that, I explained everything and answered all the questions. I even gave multiple ways of designing the system. I'm not sure what went wrong.
When I followed up, they said they were moving with other candidates. Rejection is part of the process, and I get it, but It was a complete waste of my time. I don't know what they're looking for in a candidate. I have other offers, so I am Gucci, and honestly, I think I'm better valued elsewhere.
