      Software Engineer Interview

      20 Aug 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Atlassian

      Interview

Atlassian, Atlassian and Atlassian. I had the interview last year, but I still find it valid. Atlassian tried to change its static and complacent brand by doing a revelation in the interview process. Being the first that - Offshores the interview How can I know about the people, culture and daily routine of a company when I'm interviewing someone who might not heard Atlassian a few days before the interview? - Run the same interview twice If I'm not qualified for a job for any reason, how can I be qualified after a few days with the same process? Anyway, We loved Atlassian for being complacent, please don't be too cool. Last year's interview didn't look like other years and I'm sure it'll be different another year. It was a 30-minute code challenge with a buggy web-based text editor and 5 questions about load balancer. Imagine you're going to have an interview with F5, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, CloudFlare or any other companies that produce and sell load balancer products, Just wondering why any of them doesn't have questions about Jira. All in all, the interview process is enough to show anyone why Atlassian is moving from one direction to another direction without any achievements. Somehow Atlassian is throwing a ball and making decisions based on where it goes. Each year, they will change the interview process then they will follow another direction.

      Interview

Recruiter reached out to me then ghosted in the middle of trying to set up a meeting. Very disrespectful of my time. Just as well, how a company treats candidates is usually a good indicator of how they treat employees
