The salary you requested in the original interview was within the pay range for the position. However, it was at the top of the pay range, a salary that would be considered for a “senior” level candidate with 10+ years of work experience. Based on our review, with 5 years of work experience you would fall into the mid-point of the salary range which was lower than your original request. We would have been interested in moving forward with an offer at that pay level but could not justify the higher salary you requested. If this was not articulated clearly, we apologize.
