Interview
I got to the 3rd round in-person interview. At the end they seemed to really like me, I was experienced and qualified. I finally revealed that I may require accommodations for my disability, which as a medical cannabis company, I would expect they should appreciate as many of the customers they serve would have disabilities. I was completely ghosted after this interview.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Avicanna (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2021
Interview
After submitting my application, I was asked to complete (2) assessments. The 1st one was an automated phone screen, followed by a test on data analysis. Once completed, I was invited to a (live) phone introduction interview that lasted about 20 minutes. I was later asked to participate in a online interview with two senior leadership members, which lasted about 1-hour.
After that, I was asked to complete a case assignment and present it to the team. Not long afterward, I received an offer letter. However, the total compensation of $65,000—comprising a $55,000 base salary, a $5,000 bonus, and $5,000 in options—was quite low. Not to mention, they turned it into a contract, with a review after 6 months. We attempted some negotiations for about a week, but ultimately I decided to walk away from the opportunity.

Can you please walk us through a go-to-market strategy for our brand? - case assignment
Please walk us through your career thus far.
HR screening person was brand new and couldn't really answer questions about the company or culture. In turn, they asked me questions about things that were very clearly laid on my resume, so it felt more like a resume review than an interview. I was no longer interested in pursuing the role after this interview, and the company no longer pursued me for the role either.
