I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at BCG Digital Ventures (Manhattan Beach, CA) in Apr 2018
Interview
Compared to other companies, it took longer for the recruiter to make first contact with me after I first submitted my application online (~1 month). But once things got going, they were very responsive and moved through the interview process as quickly as possible. I assume it took a while for first contact because they get a lot of applications and it can take time to go through them all. From application to offer, the entire process took about 2 months.
Steps/Interviews:
1. HR Recruiter phone screen
2. Strategic Design Lead phone interview, including a portfolio review
3. 48 hour take home case
4. In-person pitch presentation to a panel where you’ll be asked questions about your proposed solution
5/6. In-person behavioral interviews with members of two different cohorts
The in-persons are all scheduled in one day so you don’t have to keep commuting back and forth to attend them.

Question 1
Why this role? Why this company? What are you looking for?
Overall, it was an excellently planned process. The Practical (take home assignment) was challenging but allowed me to test my skills. The recruiter was incredibly helpful and shared valuable feedback afterwards.

I was asked how I arrived at my recommendation, and what assumptions I would need to test first.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BCG Digital Ventures in Feb 2022
Interview
The interview process was long but very efficient. The Recruiter helped me along the way, ensuring I understood each step of the process. Overall it was not a difficult interview and the team all seemed eager to help me gain a better understanding of the role and how I could help the team. There is a take-home problem as the last step with a presentation.
