I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Bankers Life (Kennewick, WA) in Aug 2015
Interview
The original interview was actually a group recruitment briefing, lasted about an hour and was very informative. Topics discussed were the products sold, how the compensation works and why or why not this may or may not be a good career choice for a person. I was informed that this would be the format and thought it was a great way to give someone a chance to decide if they'd like to go further or even if they are a good fit for this type of position. My 2nd follow up interview was very easy and also informative. I have not made a final decision as to whether or not this is a good career choice for me. I need to determine if I am willing to have my income based solely on commission.

Question 1
How I might handle being rejected on the telephone?
At first is pretty much a really quick screening process over the phone, then a phone interview, and then like two in person interviews basically, with two different higher ups.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bankers Life (Muncie, IN) in Mar 2026
Interview
It started with a briefing seminar in a group before an in person interview. The questions were brief and in line with other sales jobs. Motivation seems to be the highest desire from the employer.
Very easy group briefing and then a personal one on one interview. You get to see exactly what you'll be getting into and the awesome structure of the company. You also get to see how you can develop your career there.
