They WILL ask you why you applied and why you are a great fit for the company. My interviewer wanted to know how I would merchandise the store. 1 thing to note. The posting for Store Manager isnt exactly for store manager. They dont direct hire store managers. They do directly hire Salaried Department Managers which from there you can advance up to a Store Manager. This was clarified at the end of my interview. At which time we discussed salary. Which I was informed that it was highly unlikely they were able to match my current salary.
