The hiring manager was stuck on my technical/tech know-how and did not believe I was a leader that can execute even after I gave many examples during interview and via followup emails, also on my resume, of successfully launching programs and initiatives. My technical know-how is an added benefit to understand what technologies and solutions BBB should and should not be deploying (from experience working in the industry for 10yrs). The HR person was un-proffessional with no follow ups and when I asked for help to manage the perception. They left it at they will continue searching for the right person and it has been 6 months and they just reposted the role again.
I applied through other source. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Bed Bath & Beyond (Union, NJ)
Interview
Very long and drawn out. Took about two months from first phone call to hear back. Then it took another two months to get an in person interview. But once they decided I was given one weeks notice of the date Both in person interviews were all day and nobody thought to offer lunch.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Bed Bath & Beyond (Ontario, CA) in Jan 2016
Interview
Had a lovely interview process. The interviewer was very kind and asked well-worded and clear questions. I felt very comfortable. The phone interview was concise but effective, and I did not feel like a generic applicant. The interviewer seemed legitimately interested in my answers. This is not always the case in interviews.
