I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Best Buy (Overland Park, KS) in Jan 2013
Interview
The interview process was brief and cordial. The interviewer that ended up hiring me was a nice guy and I ended up becoming pretty good friends with him over the time that I worked there. There was just one interview and then there was a general training session with employees from departments from all over the store.
I applied online. I interviewed at Best Buy (Portland, OR) in Aug 2025
Interview
They ask about 5 questions how world will you do in this situation or other basic questions. However I did not like how you had to do 2 interviews and the last one you had to talk to the gm of that store
Very simple and straightforward, asked questions about my goals, and told me that they would help me reach them. For instance, I want to be a software engineer and they would help me achieve that goal

What was a time I dealt with a challenging coworker
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Best Buy (Syracuse, NY) in Jan 2024
Interview
I waited for 15 minutes past the scheduled time, met with a different person than I was originally supposed to, and was interviewed right beneath a loud speaker in the back of the store at a table that was for sale. The guy kept trying to get me to work sales instead of the warehouse, and kept bragging about how much money he has made in sales. He also didn't understand the role I was originally applying for was full-time and not part-time until I corrected him. Needless to say, they did not impress me and I found a job elsewhere

Question 1
Why do you want to work in the warehouse and not sales?
