Each publisher probably interviews a little differently, my interview was relaxed. We met for coffee and just chatted. It was informal. The publisher wanted to know about my connections in the community and my writing experience.

Following an online application for the opening, I was asked to participate in a telephone interview. The interview was held with one person who explained the role, the challenges and asked standard questions for the role.

Wonderful interview- sat down with the publisher and just talked about what the job entailed. We discussed her goals for the magazine and how my specific skills could help achieve those goals. I wrote two short samples and submitted them. Once my writing was approved I attended a quick training and was off to the race.
