I applied online. I interviewed at Big Sky Associates (Washington, DC) in May 2015
Interview
Submitted my resume online (Indeed). Contacted by HR Rep for phone screen. Had to set up referral calls for other staff. After they told me I had to do that, I declined to move any further. I did not like having to set up referral calls. I think that process is too time consuming considering how many federal consulting job opportunities there are out there. I can see if you are some top firm, but a small unknown place like Big Sky? I can go get a job at Deloitte or Accenture (a firm with much more name recognition, opportunity and prestige without having to do that (which is what I did)).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Typical behavioral boilerplate interview questions. "Tell me about a time where you had to deal with a difficult client / situation". Tell me about a time when you had to give a client bad news". Also some personal type questions; "What do you enjoy doing in your free time", etc.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Big Sky Associates (Washington, DC) in Nov 2016
Interview
Applied online, sent them my resume. A few days later they contacted me asking me to fill out a questionnaire with a variety of random questions- 'What is the latest book you read that intrigued you, tell us about it', 'How did you hear about Big Sky Associates', 'How do you rely on others to make you better', 'Describe a time you didn't know how to do something'. About a week after I filled this out they contacted me asking for an interview.
Two weeks after I completed the first interview I was asked to meet with someone from the team.
