I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Block (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2016
Interview
The interview process was very lengthly. The whole process took over a month and involved talking to about ten different people. The hiring manager was very friendly and provided great instructions. Overall was a good experience, just wish they had been more open in the beginning about what they were looking for.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Block in May 2023
Interview
Blocks interview process is incredibly long, disorganized, and redundant. You meet with 8 different people, over many rounds, over almost 2 months. Who has that kind of time? And what’s the absolute worst part is that everyone receives rejection by email. So gross, disrespectful, and outdated.

Question 1
Everything from how you’d handle certain situations to what your thoughts are on competing priorities. It’s all on topic, but wholly unnecessary.
Interview process was well conducted but lacked sufficient communication on the side of the interviewee. Generally speaking the energy was postivie and upbeat but I felt it was missing authenticity.

I applied online. I interviewed at Block (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2022
Interview
First call was fantastic, scheduled for second interview-then completely ghosted. No call no show, no return emails. Also, they pay based on geo, not the role, so dodged a bullet there!

Question 1
First question was which state are you located. Do they could adjust the salary- by over $40,000 down.
