I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Block (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
I submitted an application online and received an email from a recruiter around a week after. The initial email contained a writing assignment, and asked for me to reply within three days. I submitted the assignment within a day and the responded two days later asking to do a "video interview". However, the interview was actually them utilizing an online recording software that required me to answer questions within sixty seconds and did not allow do overs. I was a little perturbed at having to use that as a method of interview, as it felt unnatural and was difficult to really answer the question candidly without having time to think about it. The interview disqualified me and they sent a rejection email a day after I submitted it. A chance to interview with a real person (via Skype or in person) would have been nice, but no use crying over spilt milk.
