Final HR round.
In the HR round, there was just 1 more person except me out of around 50-60 people. And as awesome as this HR guy was, he starts the salary negotiations by saying you have very entry-level skills but we can still offer you this position. I was already with a reputed organisation and without knowing anything about it and about the kind of work there, this genius tells me that your experience is not so advanced compared to the work we do. He doesn't even know what my organisation does.
Then he goes on to give an offer which is less than my current salary. Now I am both furious and laughing in my head. I asked him the reason. On asking multiple times about the feedback from the panel as to understand what went wrong according to them, he finally tells that you are already getting good enough compared to our current employees in similar roles. And that Baroda is a smaller and cheaper city. :D
And again, ALWAYS REJECT THEIR INITIAL OFFER. They always try to negotiate.
