I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Booking.com (New York, NY) in Sept 2016
Interview
I applied online on their careers page. After about two weeks I got an email from a hiring manager asking to schedule a telephone interview. Short interview (20-30 minutes) focused on describing the practical aspects of the role and how my experience would be relevant and fit.
Afterwards I received a practical case test (a sample of the data and questions facing this role) to solve in 3-4 days in written form. Three weeks later I was informed by another hiring manager that I had not solved the case successfully, and they would not be proceeding further with my application.

Question 1
The case test gives a hands-on view of the realities of the role, and I appreciate the time taken to create it, but the data provided did not feel realistic and was limiting to work with
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Booking.com in May 2022
Interview
It's a usual process with first screening by HR and 2 business interviews with stakeholders. Business interviews mainly revolve around case study and scenario questions, which is coming really close to real-life challenge so I really like it. Overall I feel great about the process, if it can go a bit quicker then there is no negative point at all.

Question 1
Tell me about a particular challenge you have with your current role and how you cope with it?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Booking.com (Amsterdam) in Nov 2021
Interview
Interview process was very smooth. The recruiter agreed to shorten the process since I had already gone through 4 rounds for another position. The interview panel made sure to meet the same day of the interviews and gave me their feedback the same night :)

Question 1
How should booking.com assess and decide whether it's better to proceed with an outsourced call center service or hire/train in-house? What information/data would be needed?
Technical assignment with two open cases you have to solve and send them an open answer. You can choose the language and tools to use. After that automated email informing if you continue in the process or not. Quite impersonal and no feedback.
