      Customer Service Representative Interview

      26 Jan 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Booking.com (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2018

      Interview

This company is running by group of kids. It is miserable. From the moment I applied, i was struggling to set up a proper date for interview. I didn't receive a call for my phone interview, i had to sent email to notify the HR about our phone interview, since she forgot. And then they called me 5 days later telling me that they had to delay my in person interview, another HR worker sent me confirmation email with wrong date and also he left me a voicemail with wrong phone number, i had to sent email to another HR worker to notify him about the mistake, then he apologized. Finally, i got to the in-person interview, we were 5, we did bilingual computer exam (btw i did the exam twice in beginning as assessment and also at their office), office tour, watch some random videos played by newly hired HR girls ( unprofessional losers, most likely get this job by connection), and finally i did one to one interview with a team leader ( not an HR!!!), she was a young girl that barely speaks English, she was nervous and she asked me the stupidest questions i ever heard in my life, it was hard to feel such a humiliation by kids (no skills and unprofessional), while I know how skilled and professional I am. It was my mistake for the beginning, I should've stand up more from myself and cancel this job, from the moment i didn't receive the phone-interview call, and misleading email communications. They gave me a very clear impression about their level of professionalism (Non). Most likely this company is well funded by entities and special interests groups. Otherwise, i don't think they Making profits with such a low profile workers. I will never use this Comapny in my future reservations and any of their services, it's untrusted company. I will never feel secure doing any business with them.

      Interview

The selection process started with an assessment which is supposed to give a chance to show your practical skills in this particular role. The idea is great but the assessment itself was confusing, there was not enough time to answer all the questions properly and many questions were not even that relevant to the role. If you manage to pass, you move to the interview stage which is the interview with a recruiter. I had a pretty relaxed interview with a lovely recruiter who said I left a positive impression and she will present my candidature to the next stage (which is an interview with the manager). However, at the end of the same day I received a message that they will not be moving forward with my application with no further feedback. A couple of weeks later I saw the role being reposted again.
