Anonymous Interview Candidate in San Francisco, CA
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Box (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2023
Screening call with recruiter, hiring manager call, back to back panel interviews, 2 final presentations with managers. The overall process was efficient but time consuming. 40 minutes of presenting + 6 interviews is a lot for a sales role. Ended up letting me know almost 2 weeks later that they chose an internal candidate. Very disappointing ending to an otherwise positive experience. I never stood a chance and they most likely knew that. I definitely feel like this was disrespectful of my time.
- Tell us about sales you've made

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Austin, TX
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Box (Austin, TX) in Jun 2023
Quick screening call with recruiter, regular questions nothing too in depth. had second interview with OBR manager, seemed friendly and thought interview went well. Then i asked the question i should have asked from the beginning, which is how many BDRs were they looking to hire and to my surprise they said 1.... i usually always ask that question first, but i forgot this time, but when companies only hire 1 person its usually going to be a referral or friend of theirs or go based of favoritism. wish i would have known that from the first call before wasting my time.
- What keeps you motivated? how do you overcome not hitting quota?

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Austin, TX
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Box (Austin, TX) in Jun 2023
Screening with a recruiter, had 1:1 with BDR manager, seemed uninterested, promoted hybrid but doesn't go to the office himself. when asked what you are looking for In a BDR, he replied a self-starter that i don't have to motivate......seems like he just wants someone who he doesn't have to coach or teach, which is the job of a manager. The job description said entry level but seemed like they are looking for someone with years of experience.
- These are super simple questions. boring interview, definitely doesn't seem like the best place to work

Anonymous Employee in Salt Lake City, UT
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Box (Salt Lake City, UT)
I first met with a recruiter over the phone for the typical phone screen, then I met with the hiring manager for a Zoom meeting. The final phase of the interview was a mock presentation with 3 one on one interviews with different team members.
- How do you partner with IT staff that may not value change management?

Anonymous Interview Candidate in London, England
I interviewed at Box (London, England)
Long and tedious process. Had to talk to 4 different people, but there were nice enough folks along the way. Ended with a presentation to a 4 people strong panel.

Anonymous Interview Candidate in New York, NY
I applied online. I interviewed at Box (New York, NY)
Multiple interviews which were unnecessary. Could've been a bit more streamlined. Did not take into consideration how time consuming it can be for candidates who are interviewing while holding a position.
- Why do you want to work for us?

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Toronto, ON
I interviewed at Box (Toronto, ON)
I thought that overall it was a fair interview. Some tough questions were asked but mostly what you would expect. Technical questions and some coding was done in the interview. They also had some design/architecture questions.
- Tell me about a difficult problem you had to solve?

Anonymous Employee
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Box
The interview process took about 4 weeks, but I can into the process more towards the end. It began with the hiring manager and then with people from the sales team and support resources. In all, I had about 5 interviews ending with a group interview.
- Tell me about your management style and how you lead your team?

Anonymous Interview Candidate
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Box in Apr 2023
This is disappointing as I really wanted the chance to work here. I interviewed for the same role twice in 2021 and 2023. Went through the same 4 round interview the last round being 3 hours with a presentation. I was told the feedback back in 2021 was not having SAAS experience and then when I came back in 2023 to interview I warned them of my situation that I still didn't have SAAS experience. They said it wasn't an issue and I went through the long process again to only find out I didn't get the role because I didn't have SAAS experience.
- How do you handle rejection?

Anonymous Interview Candidate
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Box in Apr 2023
A phone call with the HR recruiter about my background and what my management style was, then a zoom interview with the director about the role itself and how to handle situations
- Questions about the role specifically
