The first thing I did when I accepted the offer to interview was research the company and the man I would be directly working for, Bill. I could get a slight sense of his personality based on his videos and some controversial articles and verbiage he used in response to those questioning his business. I thought, every company has negative reviews of some sort so it wasn't a deal breaker. But the more I researched the more I felt a little uneasy. I decided to put those concerns behind me and focus on preparing for the kinds of interview questions he might throw at me. I could already get a sense that he would be tough. Finally, about 4 hours before my interview I decided to look at the Glassdoor reviews and I'm so thankful that I did! It seems as if I have completely dodged a bullet here! Not only doe Bill seem completeley unprofessionsal and controversial but from what I can tell is also verbally abusive. I am not interested in working for a company with such poor values and morals let alone the man who is on top. I immediately reached out to Shelly (the lady who offered me the interview) to let her know I was no longer interested in the job.
