      Architectural Strategist Interview

      Application

I interviewed at CBRE (New York, NY)

      Interview

External referral, I had a great interview vibed with the team and they were very positive about the job prospects at the end. They said they need to hash out the job and are interested in having me join. I mentioned I needed a TN visa and they were positive about on-boarding me. For the next month they stayed in contact offering positive feedback, and then a month later HR messaged me and said they cannot support TN visa due to insufficient funds. I said the company doesn’t need to pay for TN visa, the employee can pay and I’m willing to do it. She said “they have an internal visa application process which they don’t have the sufficient funds for. Thank you next.” The whole process was confusing, anxiety inducing and unfortunate.
