I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Charles River Development (Indianapolis, IN) in Aug 2019
Interview
Unnecessarily long. It's a panel interview broken up into hour long 1 on 1 interviews with various staff. It takes about 4-5 hours. Staff is friendly and the interviews were great, but the the entire process felt needlessly convoluted. I'm not a fan of panel interviews and studies show they're often not effective, but neither is getting asked the same questions for four hours straight. Also didn't help that I was distracted by a certain individual's teeth picking during follow up questions about my resume.
Be prepared to do an analytical LSAT and writing prompt. The LSAT was a little much, but the writing prompt should be fairly easy for anyone with collegiate level writing skills.
I reached out for followup with the recruiter within the week but got crickets. Never heard back from anyone. Luckily I had already received an offer from a better company which I had accepted.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Charles River Development (Burlington, MA) in Oct 2024
Interview
Behavioral questions made up about 95% of the interview, and the atmosphere was mostly intimidating, implying a strong expectation that you would need to work for the company at 100% capacity. They clearly portrayed a lack of work-life balance and emphasized that the role involves significant non-development tasks. The team repeatedly highlighted that the environment is high-pressure with big impacts. The team lead even mentioned that there would be no one to help or guide you, and you’d be on your own.

Recruiter called me first. Then I met the recruiter in person. They did an interview with employees of the company. Then did a SAT-like test. Finally, had an interview with more senior management.
