I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Chevron (Houston, TX) in Jul 2013
Interview
After grad school I sought an interview with Chevron through personal network so all began rather quickly and very casually. The interview was very broad and very open. It spanned the course of 4.5 hours and included a lunch 'interview' with two of the previous interviewers (was under the impression that more would have been present were it not for the coming holiday). Questions varied from typical behavioral type interview questions to very casual conversation on work/life preferences.
I can't say anything negative about this experience. It was refreshingly quick and painless from a major corporation. They simply seem to be finding a good fit for their culture and then will find an appropriate position for the applicant.

Question 1
Due to the casual nature there were no specifically 'difficult' questions. At times however, the interview was quite personal/casual to the point that finding an appropriate answer was often difficult.
