Covers your background, experience with analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python), and interest in retail analytics.
May include questions about past projects or client handling if the role involves consulting.
2. Technical Assessment (30–45 mins)
A mix of live or take-home tasks:
Excel: VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic dashboards.
SQL: Write queries for data extraction, aggregation, joins, window functions.
Power BI: Build a simple report, demonstrate DAX usage, and discuss data modeling.
Python (optional): Data cleaning or analysis using pandas and visualization via matplotlib or seaborn.
3. Case Study / Business Round (30 mins)
Scenario-based discussion on a retail analytics problem.
Assess how you derive insights from sales or inventory data.
Expect to explain KPIs (like sell-through, stock turns), and how you'd visualize/report them.
4. Final Round (15–30 mins)
With a senior leader or team head.
Evaluates alignment with company values, communication, stakeholder engagement.
May ask how you handle deadlines, ambiguity, or clients with non-technical backgrounds.
