I applied for the role on 2/1. They reached out to me on 4/30 for an interview request. My first interview was with the hiring manager and their counterpart. Then I was invited for an in-person panel interview. I had to do a case study that included a 30 minute presentation to be presented as part of the in-person interview. The in-person interview was very odd and almost militant with the hiring manager typing her notes during the entire interview. All of the questions were prewritten, so the interview didn't have a very natural flow. And even though that was the final round, I was told they wouldn't make a decision for another 6-9 weeks because they had people in all stages of the process. Now there were only 2 stages. I didn't get the role but I left there knowing that wasn't the role for me. They notified me on 6/30 that I didn't get the role. Almost 5 months and 1 case study for an IC role is wild.
