I recently appeared for the Deloitte Analyst Trainee interview process through campus hiring, and overall the experience was professional and well-structured. The interview was conducted virtually and mainly focused on projects, problem-solving approach, communication skills, and practical technical understanding rather than only theoretical concepts. The interviewer maintained a conversational and calm approach throughout the discussion, which helped reduce nervousness to some extent. Most questions were based on my resume, especially the projects I had mentioned, including backend development, APIs, MongoDB, authentication, debugging, and AI integration. Instead of rapid-fire theoretical questions, the interviewer focused more on understanding my thought process, learning ability, and how I handled technical challenges during project development. One thing I appreciated was that the discussion felt practical and realistic. The interviewer explored how I approached issues like optimization, backend structuring, security practices, and troubleshooting. This made the interview feel more skill-oriented rather than purely memorization-based. However, candidates should prepare to explain every project in depth because follow-up questions can become detailed quickly. Strong communication and structured answers are very important, especially during technical explanations. Nervousness can affect delivery even when you know the concepts. Overall, it was a positive experience and a good opportunity for freshers to showcase practical skills, adaptability, and willingness to learn in a professional environment.
