Overall Impression:
The process ended unprofessionally, as after multiple interview stages and a completed written assignment, I was ultimately ghosted without any feedback or closure.
Pros:
1) Ambitious and well-structured role description with a clear remote setup.
2) The main interviewer initially showed genuine interest during an in-depth discussion.
3) The team appeared knowledgeable, with an international outlook.
Cons:
1) The process lacked transparency; workflow and timelines were not communicated.
2) The main interview ran over twice the planned time and ended with a request for a detailed written outline of role priorities - an atypical and time-intensive task.
3) The technical stage was rescheduled at short notice and focused narrowly on jurisdiction-specific trivia, with little attention to transferable or managerial skills.
4) After delivering the written assignment, no feedback was ever provided. Multiple follow-ups were acknowledged but ultimately ignored.
Stage Feedback
1) Initial Call (≈1h)
Professional but vague; many questions were deferred, leaving uncertainty about the process.
2) Main Interview (planned 1h, lasted 2+ hours)
Showed strong interest but required disproportionate preparation for an informal suggestion. The exercise blurred the line between interview and free consulting.
3) Technical Stage
Postponed at short notice, late in my time zone. Content was unfocused and better suited for a written test than a live call.
4) Written Assignment & Closure
Submitted as requested, but no response was given. Repeated reminders went unanswered, forcing me to move on and accept another offer.
