I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Digital Hazard Studio (Pittsburgh, PA) in Aug 2023
Interview
4 Stage application process that's easy and clear to work through:
1 - Apply to a relevant role
2 - Screening interview if selected for further chatting, this will review your basic industry experience, relevance to the role, broad stroke skillsets, and availability. During this interview, they'll also explain the rest of the process to you. If you make this round, a reply or some amount of feedback can be expected.
3 - Team Lead / Hiring Manager for Technical Interview. Depending on the role, you'll meet with one of the two above individuals, if not both, to hold a technical interview and review your skills as they pertain to the role at hand. For art related roles, this is limited to program knowledge, process, and the like. For design roles, this is centered around tools and philosophies. For code and code-adjacent roles, expect standard technical questions related to in-engine development and game specific issues. The tech interviewer is quite a big name, and isn't afraid to grill you to find out your experience.
4 - Financial call. At this point, you've been selected as a final candidate and will discuss salary, benefits, team placement, and you can get answers to any final questions. If this is all aligned with the company, you'll be extended an offer shortly after.
