I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Dinair Airbrush Makeup Systems (North Hollywood, CA) in Aug 2018
Interview
I was emailed for a job that I had responded to about 5 months ago. They asked if I was still available for the job.
I went to the interview and they started telling me how they would like someone who is an illustrator. I said I was excited to hear that because that is what I do best. I have more than 5 years experience in Graphic Design but that was not what I went to school for. My gift is in drawing.
After that George told me about the company. That took about 30 mins. He is a very fun person to listen to, so I didn't mind.
After that is was time to talk about how much I would get paid, when I would start, and my availability.
I said my range is $25-$35 and I would like to start part time. I wanted to make sure that me and the company work well together. I have other freelance jobs/part-time work and I didn't want to drop everything else for this one job.
They offered me $28 and hour and said that by the end of the year (if I do well) they could pay me the $35.
It sounded like my DREAM JOB!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How good are you at Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
The hiring manager was pleasant and concise. As long as you know the needs of the customer and knowledgeable about the brand's specific makeup products, you will have a good interview.

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Dinair Airbrush Makeup Systems (North Hollywood, CA) in Nov 2013
Interview
The interview was conducted in the training room which had not been cleaned, it was a mess. The HR Director and Director of Product Development/Marketing started the interview. The majority of the time was spent explaining what the company expected of the contact center manager. Through out the interview employees interrupted the interview. Approximately midway though the interview the owners joined; both were on their phones. One of the owners basically spent the remainder of the interview dissuading me from continuing in the hiring process. Once on board I realized he was not actually trying to get me to back out of the hiring process, this is his management style. He is very difficult to read. One minute he is treating you like you are in expert in your field, the next minute he is condescending and patronizing.
