I was selected for this position during an on-campus placement drive.
The interview was Backend focused and consisted of total 3 rounds
Round 1 :
The interview began with brief introduction about my profile and resume. It consisted of a DSA question in JavaScript. It was fairly easy question, given you know javascript functions and syntax. Next, I was asked some basic questions about SQL. I was given a system design question and had to create a database system for the same. Question : Social media apps allow users to comment on posts. Also, users can reply on existing comments. Create a database to implement the given functionality. I was then asked to write some basic SQL queries on the existing database created. The round lasted 30-40 minutes.
Round 2 :
This round was taken by a senior software engineer. It started with a brief introduction about my resume. The interviewer asked in-depth questions about my projects i.e motivation, tech stack, demo, code explanation, etc. It was a bit difficult but the interviewer was quite friendly and gave hints too. Next, I was asked to solve a problem using JavaScript promises. It was a bit difficult to recall the syntax but eventually I managed to code it. The round took over 45-60 mins
Round 3 :
The interviewer was the CTO of the company. Again, it started with introduction, resume focused and project demo. This round also consisted of a coding question related to JS promises. I was given a situtation and had to code the solution and explain the approach. Lastly, I was asked some behavioral questions that were fairly obvious and easy. The round lasted almost 40-45 mins.
PS : All 3 rounds took place at the same day. The first round began at 11 pm in the night and the entire interview process ended around 3 am in the morning. It made me a bit skeptical about the work culture of the company, working overtime, long hours. The offer was 18 LPA after completion of 3 months on-site internship. I was still a bit unsure of the full time role guarantee, given the intern condition.
