Applied for role, spoke with HR contact regarding opportunity. 10 days later spoke with Hiring Manager, who immediately wanted a follow-up interview with the rest of the team. 10 days late Monday all morning meeting with team along with an Excel Assessment 3 days later notified that morning they wanted to connect next morning only to tell me over the phone I was being passed on. Passed due to missing skillsets they knew I didn't have. Skills I stated I was lacking but stressed could attain based off my past background of being in similar circumstances and overcoming them. They also altered the job description after I had applied. Pretty much set me up for failure from the start. What was "a plus" became "required". Thought it was a case of the "Mondays", but majority of those I spoke with did not seem interested in speaking to me. Made things tougher considering the time spent in the past month preparing for this on little to no sleep. Very disappointing process for what I thought would be a great company to work for.
