I applied the position through LinkedIn. They called me next day and set up the interview for 1-hour coding challenge with other dev. When I joined the Zoom meeting, the dev greeted me and it immediately started a coding challenge, which was a bit weird how rushed it was. The dev basically read through the description for the coding challenge and asked me to start coding. What was annoying was that whenver I didn't write the way he wanted me to code, he kept stopping me and asked me how to improve my code, which was quiet a bit annoying because I then kept getting interrupted and forgetting what I was trying to do. The way he wanted me to code wasn't any better way to write. I finished the coding on time and he said it looked good. A few hours later, I've got a basica template rejection letter. It seems very unprofessional to just start a coding challenge before getting to know about your candidate. Also keep interrupting while coding is not definitely acceptable. Your way is not the only way everyone should write the code.
