Phone screen with recruiter, in-person interview with recruiter & junior-level staff, then in-person interviews with VP & Sr. leadership. Things started off positively-- recruiter was initially helpful and informative; junior team members couldn't have been nicer.
Higher up, there seemed to be a lot of ego, lots of pushing the company's "cool factor" and exclusivity, and selling me on the corporate experience and company perks, as opposed to career opportunities for me. I walked away feeling like I'd get to go to some Pats games, maybe I'd even get to hang out with Tom Brady, but I was not convinced that I would really be able to grow professionally and advance my career with this company.
Most disappointing--- after several lengthy conversations with the recruiter over the course of a few weeks, he sent me a hasty 2 sentence e-mail to say they're not moving forward. I wasn't so much disappointed in not getting an offer, but expected more thorough follow-up considering I had invested quite a bit of time & energy in the interview process. Seemed hypocritical, as the VP of HR and others spoke extensively about their focus on "candidate experience".
