      I interviewed at Dream.Org

      Interview

I felt it to be an informal and disorganized process. What I would consider to be "red flags" throughout. The recruiter couldn't find the time to meet with me at first, and missed our first scheduled interview (1st red flag), and then requested a recorded video interview to review later (2nd red flag). I then had the pleasure of doing a panel interview after meeting the recruiter. I sincerely feel sorry for those that have to work with the leadership of this team. My apologies to hear that they are stuck in a career lead by intimidation and unprofessionalism. You deserve better. You deserve appreciation. I had the pleasure of meeting the COO of the organization in the panel interview with 3 other panelists, and I found it to be the most unprofessional experience in my whole career. As the COO was stepping into the interview with an axe to grind and a chip on their shoulder, I had great interviews the 3 other panelists prior to my interview with the COO. Immediately I noticed the demeanor and the tone used by the COO was an instant turn off for the role I was seeking, and something I haven't seen to that degree in executive leadership at any point in my career. To sum it up, the COO left the call early (hung up?) and dropped a bombshell on the way out with something along the lines of "We don't need you!". I'm sincerely concerned about the COO. I think the COO might be going through a difficult time and my advice would be for that person to seek help. My sincere advice to leadership. Put your best foot forward during the interview process, or you could be pushing great talent away. To potential candidates: If you respect yourself and are passionate about giving, there are thousands of better such organizations out there you should consider joining.
